Season 38 - January 2022 - An afternoon with Haydn & Vivaldi
Time & Location
About the Event
Please join the Chorale, special guest singers, soloists, and orchestra, for our anticipated return to performing the arts with and for our beloved community. Program to include Haydn's masterwork and Vivaldi's memorable setting of Psalm 147. The concert will be both reflective of the COVID-19 pandemic, and celebratory in light of this being the inaugural season with Frank R. Zilinyi as the Chorale's 6th Artistic Director.
Vivaldi's Lauda Jerusalem
"... Awesome antiphonal baroque romp for split choir, split strings, and 2 soloists. Minor key but very upbeat. Vivaldi was the first rock star, and this does not fail to live up to that." - Frank R. Zilinyi, Artistic Director
Haydn's Missa in Angustiis (Mass for Troubled Times) 'Lord Nelson'
"... The mass remains one of the standalone choral favorites and best examples of Haydn's work. Starts minor and grave, but quickly gives way to fun, upbeat music." - Frank R. Zilinyi, Artistic Director
